HTC has launched the successor of HTC Desire smartphone, HTC Desire S. HTC Desire S runs on Android OS and is powered by 1GHz processor. HTC Desire S sports a 3.7 inch touch screen display, 5 MP auto focus camera, 720p HD Video recording, VGA front camera and microSD card support.
Other features of the HTC Desire S include 3G Network, EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and mini USB connectivity. Weighing 130 grams the handset is powered by 1450 mAh battery for talk time of 435 mins on 3G network.

I have bought a HTC Desire S. It is 3 months old now. If you have a Wi-fi. Then this is a best phone in the 20k-25k series(Indian Money). It gives a 8GB memory along with a phone enough space for a average user. I love using it. Never gives you any trouble. I upgraded the recent andriod upgrade I recieved 2.3.5. Feels really great to use. I bought it for 22,500 in chennai, last november’11.
I’d suggest someone for this phone if they ask me

Phone has some really excellent features, thanks to HTC Sense
The Audio effects is also really very nice.
In this phone, we would be able to listen the music from both rear & front speakers by enabling SRS effects.

Hi…..i really love this android phone, but 2 thing missing in it….that is, shortage of internal memory …since it should at least 8GB & their should 1ghz dual core processor according to it’s price. thank you.

What’s up with this Android 2.4. There is no such thing. It was slated to come this month (April 2011) with dual-core app support i.e. Making Apps, not only OS, use of both cores which unfortunately ‘Gingerbread’ lacks.
So the conclusion: HTC desire ships with Android 2.3 not 2.4

It should have upgraded 8 MP camera from original Desire. This is the best phone only if it is available at the same cost of Desire. No need to spend extra. Not satisfied with th change or look of this. HTC please have an EYE on samsung and LG. Dont make the same mistake as Nokia did. Camera is not a small feature in mobile phone. Disappointed….
